DESCRIPTION:This year Oakfield Betterment is bringing back a favorite family oriented event in partnership with Oakfield Alabama Lions Club\, Oakfield Fire Department\, Oakfield Historical Society\, Genesee Society of Model Trains\, Haxton Memorial Library\, The Goose\, and many other local businesses and organizations. Specials and promotions throughout the day. We bring you many ways to celebrate the season. This year there will be music\, a parade led by Oakfield Fire Department\, and lighting ceremony for the walk through winter wonderland in village memorial park. ?? ?? ??Small Business scavenger hunt ??Santa in the park ??Christmas Parade ??Grand lighting of Winter Wonderland ??Christmas music by Oakfield-Alabama choruses ?? At 11 AM\, the first 50 families/ participants will begin at The Goose (33 South Main) and receive a wreath with scavenger hunt instructions. Then they stop at each location on the Christmas passport until it has been completed. Once returned to Oakfield Betterment Committee at The Goose\, the passport is entered into a drawing for several prizes. - Local specials\, activities\, and fun with participating organizations and stores - Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elves from Oakfield-Alabama Lions Club will be serving cookies and hot cocoa. ?? - Oakfield Fire Department leads the Christmas parade from the hall down Main Street past the park. - Memorial Park is transformed into a Winter Wonderland with our grand lighting - Special guests\, food\, cocoa will be available More details in our Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/share/m6xx3iLqh17E8nTC/?mibextid=9l3rBW
