The unrelenting desire to do things right. That’s the Alleghany Services way. Passed down from our families and crews since 1983. Starting in a barn in Corfu, NY, as Klotzbach Excavating, Alleghany began working with farms and small residential projects in Genesee County, New York. With one CASE backhoe, a bulldozer, hard work, and dedication to completing the job, growth continued through the eighties.

In 1987, the company changed its name to Alleghany Landscaping, using the name of the road on which the office was located. At this point, the firm mainly focused on commercial site restoration for general contractors, residential landscaping, and smaller agricultural projects. In the early nineties, with the construction of our current offices in Basom, NY, Alleghany was renamed Alleghany Construction Corp to better represent the diverse services offered. The early 2000s led to a focus on our agricultural roots and the formation of Alleghany Farm Services.

Today, Alleghany Construction Corp. and Alleghany Farm Services, LLC form two specialized parts of Alleghany Services, serving both the commercial and agricultural markets. The construction side focuses on commercial site construction and directional drilling throughout the western region of New York. Farm Services has focused on becoming a leader within the farm drainage, conservation drainage, and sustainable water management sector. Serving customers throughout the Northeast and Mid Atlantic, the Alleghany brand has become well-known for quality and professionalism in agricultural drainage.
